Pool & Electrical Products (PEP) hosted a golf tournament that was attended by some of the industry’s biggest names and manufacturers.
The tournament took place on January 29, in Indio, California, at the Desert Willows Golf Course, and 80 golfers participated.
The tournament was held to raise money for a local swim fund for young swimmers’ safety, and organizers raised more than $1,000 to give back to the pool community.
Winning categories included the longest drive and closest to the pin, and winners received extra tickets for a raffle.
The tournament’s winners included Todd Leming of Clearview Pools; Gerald Hampton, owner of Vacation Pools; Don Pollard of The Pool Pro; Jay Vasquez of Thornburg Enterprises; and Rufus Macharia of Easy Care Products.
Raffle prizes included two 65-inch TVs, Milwaukee Tools and tool bags, 100 square feet of tile, hydro band, and $300 credit from Precision Tile.
By every account, the event was a lot of fun, featuring an enormous barbeque with chicken, ribs, tri tip, potato salad, Ceasar salad, chili, corn bread, and three different types of cheesecake.
Event sponsors and vendor attendees’ included Easy Care Products, Heritage Pool Supply Group, Pentair, Hayward, Raypak, Waterway, Aquacal, Hasa, Thornburg Enterprises, Hyper Poles, Laticrete, JCB Sales, Nirvana Heaters, Precision Tile, and Jandy.
Participants from Heritage said “Pool and Electrical Products had an amazing time at their Desert Golf Tournament in Palm Desert, CA. It was a full day of golf, networking, and fun with fellow pool professionals and vendors.”
Matthew Jenson, PEP Branch Manager 1, said participants are already asking about the next golf tournament.
“Stay tuned for the upcoming events,” he said. “We are going to make this an annual thing.”
