Pool industry invited to join PHTA committee

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) is inviting all industry members to participate in its Standards Consensus Committee (SCC), PHTA’s official American National Standards Institute (ANSI) consensus voting body. The SCC is responsible for reviewing and voting on all pool, spa, and hot tub standards to be approved by ANSI.

Currently, there are openings available in all of the four total interest categories: Producer, User-Government, User-Consumer, or General Interest.

Participants in PHTA’s standards development process include subject matter experts such as public health officials, architects, engineers, code officials, consultants, product manufacturers, representatives from other industry organizations, and individuals with expertise or interest in advancing the pool, spa, and hot tub industry.

To be considered for a position on the SCC for a term beginning in 2025, interested individuals must submit a completed SCC Application Form by November 1, 2024, and agree to adhere to PHTA’s Procedures for American National Standards, Antitrust Policy, Conflict of Interest Policy, and Volunteer Code of Conduct.
